A Lunch Break

by hopesfrenzy

I had to drop something physically off at my company’s office in ‘s Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch for short), and it’s a long train trip for just a day, so I decided to make it a bit more worth my while and explore town a bit. I never had the chance to do it before, and while it was cold, it was also a sunny and beautiful day.

First thing, I got a OV fiets and biked to and back from the office, exploring a bit along the way. But after I dropped off the bike, I set out on foot, walking past het Stadshuis and, eventually, Sint-Janskathedraal (St. John’s Cathedral) which was richly decorated on the outside.

My favorite part was walking along het Singelgracht (the same name as my canal at home) in the sun, admiring the fields and copse beyond the canal. I was walking along a city wall / moat, toward the “bastion” which was closed for the day. It was a nice adventure!
