In the middle of the Souks in Marrakech, our peaceful, tiled riad was a sanctuary. From the rooftop terrace, we could see the entire city. After a long day of traveling, we woke up, had breakfast and started our day exploring the city.
As in every Muslim city, the minarets of the mosques were the highest structures — with the grand Koutoubia Mosque at the highest. We couldn’t go inside, but we could walk the surrounding palm grove.
Then out the city walls!
