Some friends and I went to Cama Beach for a few days in March of 2009 – our last semester of college. We ran along the beaches, hiked a little in the forests, and basically just hung out by making s’mores and eating hot dogs. We were pretty worried about the weather, but it held together despite being pretty overcast the whole time.
Right before the trip, I had learned that my uncle Bill Brady had passed away. I starkly remember standing on this beach and taking phone calls from home as people offered their condolences and we made plans for me to fly home as soon as I could for the funeral.
This post is dedicated to my uncle Bill.
