WHERE FOG
MEETS THE CAPE

In the fall of 2007, during my junior year of college, my friends and I took a road trip down to Oregon, through McMinnville to the coast: Cape Lookout. We had a yurt on the beach, and explored the coast as night fell.

The next morning, we hiked the Cape Lookout trail to its promontory. I was stunned at the light fog sifting through the forests and the colors of the surf coming in. When we got to the end of the trail we could scan the horizons as far as the eye could see.
