WINTER WALKS
IN THE CITY

While we spent the majority of winter in the city keeping warm indoors, there were a few opportunities to venture out despite the biting cold. After a long walk/adventure to the Upper West Side, we were walking down the Hudson River Walk and suddenly found a hawk sitting in a tree. At sunset. Right next to … a squirrel!!

The squirrel was taunting the hawk and gambling with its life, but the hawk, like us, were mesmerized by the sunset.

On a different winter adventure, on a brilliant day, we ventured up to The Cloisters, a museum of…exactly that! It was beautiful, quiet and still. The park and fort in which the museum sits was newly snowed in, and we frolicked a bit.
