Afternoon Stroll through Brussels

Thrilled to show me the rest of a city that he spent a summer in while growing up, Stéphane walked me from one side of Brussels to the other, passing through parks, monuments and stopping at an amazing cafe for coffee.

We saw the European Parliament and other European Union buildings (Brussels is where the E.U. is based!) which were amazing to see. We also passed places where the Brussels bombings had happened. The city was on edge still, but the weather wouldn’t let up – it was gorgeous!

After Leopoldspark and the Triumphal Arch, we stopped at La Terrasse, a very cute cafe where we sat on the patio.
