Descending from Angels Landing

by hopesfrenzy

After our triumph, selfies at the peak, and collecting ourselves for the trek back down, it was a treat to walk down hill. The beauty of the morning became a fierce sunny day, and we felt sorry for the poor souls making the trek up in the heat. And it was HOT.

On the way back down, I discovered new details I had missed during the climb. It was fun! And, we had much to look forward to: we were going to go swimming! We were sitting in the Virgin River after our intense hike, cooling off and laughing, when, all of a sudden, we were rendered silent by a deer stepping into the Virgin River. It was breathtaking.
