Discovering the Floating Temples

We rounded the corner walking home from the market, and, after passing under a sunlit archway, Stéphane and I entered the Wat Plai Laem — a spiritual complex of floating temples. We kind of freaked out. The place was breathtaking – glass lake, with the rich color of the temples brought to life by the setting sun.

We felt peaceful…and took so many photos as we practically galloped around the complex. We wandered around each floating temple, peaking in and around. We didn’t feel like we could conquer Wat Plai Laem all in one visit — so we decided to come back another day.
