My day in San Francisco was spent across the city, from Chinatown to Telegraph Hill, Golden Gate Park and Haight-Ashbury. This post catalogs a few moments of my day.
The Zodiac caught my attention in Chinatown. Such a powerful image, decrepit and neglected, yet so important in Chinese culture… I wondered why it was there in the first place?
Dali’s Angel appears in some of his other paintings, and my eye caught it as she walks with a younger angel.
When I was a teenager, I spent some time in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. I remembered most the Amoeba Music store, and as we had dinner near by, we had to visit. Then an amazingly poignant van pulled up in front!
