On one day during a week-long trip to Spain, we went on a hike from Vilanova i la Geltrú to Sitges and back, hugging the train tracks that skirt the rocky cliffs along the expansive Mediterranean. It was a humid day; thankfully the sun wasn’t out as we would have been even warmer. It was a good day for a hike though. The walk started along a neighborhood street where we passed beautiful mansions and a church before continuing onto a trail.
The trail went up and down over small cliffs and there were old stone walls. We walked almost all of the way to Sitges, but as the day was getting on, we decided to turn around. We got a drink at small cafe along the route, and then continued on.
The trail spit us out right onto the Platja del Far de Sant Cristòfol (beach) and next to a war bunker (I do not remember for which war).
