Stéphane and I were walking from the market to meet his dad and grandmother at a little museum in old town of Barcelona. A shortcut through the park made sense – so we took it, and I’m glad we did.
One of the first structures, Cascada Monumental, we came across, after turning a sharp corner, blew my mind. Jaw dropped! It was so beautiful, the stonework with the gold touch, green plants and flowing water. So hard to believe it lives in the middle of this city.
We continued, and came across numerous abandoned or near abandoned greenhouses. In their renaissance, they must have been gorgeous. The balloon man was also present throughout. We ended our stroll along the old city walls of Barcelona and ended along las ramblas at the status of Columbus.
