The Animals in the Castle

Washington D.C. is a place I have longed to go to since I was young. Honestly, I wasn’t really prepared for how it would make me feel. Having been here once before (and utterly failed at the visit), this time, I was serious. I would conquer this town!

I started with a visit to the Smithsonian Castle (yes, there’s a castle!). It wasn’t large, and it contained a few items representative of each other museum.

Clearly, the mounted animals and the vaulted ceiling fascinated me.
