The Other Jacksonville

by hopesfrenzy

On a whim, my family and I adventured from where we were staying in Klamath Falls, OR an hour or so away to a wild west theme town called Jacksonville. The town was quaint and not incredibly busy. But it was pretty and a warm day – a nice day for a stroll!

We shopped and goofed around, until we ventured into the Jacksonville Cemetery, a very old monument separated in many plots – different sects of Christians, Jews, African and Native Americans and other groups.

Then the forgotten, the unmarked. This grave site below really stood out to me. These were all that appeared. Father. Mother. As if standing in for all the fathers and mothers, nameless, but not forgotten. At least they got a plot.
