Views of the Grander Palace

At this point in the day, we were exhausted! But we still journeyed all the way to the south part of the city to find Palais Bahia, a more intact and newer palace near Palais el-Badi. The grounds were massive and winding — it was easy to get lost for a moment, and there were a few times where I was completely alone.

Some courtyards were lush and overrun with plant life — others were massive and bare, yet still tiled in greens and blues.

My favorite moment was stumbling upon a box that read “Pocahontas.” What the?!

After resting under a large bush and avoiding the large ants, we were on our way out of there, for one last stop before heading back to the riad.
