Weekend on the Rocky Coast

Each year, my friends and I go on a weekend adventure for Memorial Day. This year, we stayed at a interesting beach house in Yachats [YAH-HOTS], Oregon, just several hundred feet from the Pacific.

While we spent much of our time lounging around the house, reconnecting, playing games and relaxing, we did go on  a couple of adventures. One highlight was a walk where we discovered a few seals hanging around on a rock amid some crashing waves.

Another was venturing out to see Thor’s Well, a hole in a rocky ledge through which water drained and exploded. A spout was nearby.
